At present, Chhatral is declared under critically pollution area as per CEPI direction. CHHATRAL ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM will become helpful to the GIDC to take continuous higher graph of industrial growth and removes restriction of GIDC from Critically Polluting area as per CEPI guidelines.
With considering 500 KL of effluent having COD ~ 70000 mg /L, the daily pollution load of our member units sending to CETP is 5000 Kg /Day. Due to high concentrated effluent the overall pollution load of the CETP is increased day by day. When we will start our CHHATRAL ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, member units will send us high concentrated effluent so, ultimately 5000 kg /Day of pollution load will be decreases on CETP.
The main aim is to collect Primary treated effluent (with higher pollution load) from member units and then we will take it in MEE unit. We will segregate condensed water and Solid waste. We will return back condensed water to our member unit. Which can be reuse in manufacturing plant and solid waste will be disposed to TSDF site on behalf of our member units.
We are going to start Pretreatment unit, water recycling plant and product recovery plant for the effluent.
Looking to the activity of CHHATRAL ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, we will take primary treated effluent from various kinds of small scale member units. So, we have no need to do primary treatment in our unit. The collected effluent will be only filtered in our unit. Due to that some of the traces of sludge will be removed before MEE.
A specific site selection criterion of the unit has been as follows.
1. Plot size is suitable for the proposed project.
2. The project site is located in Chhatral GIDC estate. So, transportation is easy for all the member units.
3. Availability of good communication and transportation facility.
